Veterinary Assistant – Animal Emergency Clinic

Location: Grand Terrace, CA

Job Type: Full-Time | Overnights, 4 / 8 hr shifts

Pay: $21–$26/hour, plus $5 overnight differential

Located in Grand Terrace, California, Animal Emergency Clinic is a long-standing, AAHA‑accredited emergency veterinary hospital proudly serving the Inland Empire for over 50 years. We specialize in after‑hours emergency and critical care, with a plan to expand to 24/7 operations in the near future. • Assist veterinarians and RVTs with emergency procedures and patient care.
• Perform blood draws, place IV catheters, administer medications and treatments.
• Monitor patients under anesthesia and during recovery.
• Support triage, diagnostics, and critical care treatment protocols.
• Maintain patient records and ensure a clean, organized environment.
• Collaborate closely with a passionate and experienced ER team.
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist clients with inquiries.
• Check in patients efficiently and accurately.
• Process payments and maintain financial accuracy.
• Provide updates to clients on hospitalized patients.

• Full‑time role with evening, weekend, and holiday shifts required.
• Pay range: $21–$26/hour, plus $5 overnight differential.

• Minimum of 1 year experience in emergency or general practice.
• Proficient in technical skills: venipuncture, catheter placement, patient monitoring.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
