District Clerk / Investigative Support Assistant
Location:
Grande Prairie, Alberta. Salary: $57,217 – $61,761 (Level CR-04-SP-CK-04).
Closing date:
June 4, 2026 – 23:59 Pacific Time.
- Work in a busy police environment, including exposure to unsettling or graphic material.
- Provide operational, administrative and financial support for the General Investigation Section (GIS) unit.
- Monitor the GIS email proxy.
- Manage unit fleet and procurement of supplies.
- Use various RCMP operating systems.
- Handle GIS correspondence, including mail and parcels.
- Work in a busy office environment, including exposure to unsettling or graphic material.
- Monitor the Western Alberta District email proxy.
- Track projects.
- Manage district correspondence, including mail and parcels.
- Update directories, file documents and maintain office equipment.
- Manage fleet, procure supplies, pay invoices.
- Ensure occupational health and safety.
- Willing and able to work in a busy police environment with exposure to unsettling or graphic material.
- Willingness and ability to travel for work and training using various modes of transportation.
- Willingness and ability to work overtime as required.
- Willingness and ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Successful completion of two years secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
ExperienceAdministrative support experience (e.g., ordering supplies, filing, processing mail, monitoring email proxy).
Financial support services (e.g., paying invoices, handling a unit credit card).
Experience using databases (data entry, reports, queries).
Experience working with internal and external clients.
Abilities and Skills- Effective written communication.
