    Job Description

    WHAT'S THE JOB?

    Reporting to the Senior Manager, Infrastructure Support, ABS, the project coordinator is responsible for assisting with the planning and execution of Infrastructure support projects. Including scheduling and budget management, Coordination of people and material, and assists in the coordination of time and infrastructure priorities. The position works with construction project managers, procurement personal and the Dexterra corporate IT division.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    This role performs some or all of the following duties:

  • Responsible for project planning during the initial concept to implementation.
  • Manage Infrastructure support venders including service providers and contractors.
  • Communicate with sales, bid team, directors, or any other project stakeholders when required.
  • Communicate and coordinate with construction projects team before and during lodge construction.
  • Communicating and working with engineers, clients, utility companies, subcontractors and other key project stakeholders.
  • Coordination of project paperwork including tendering coordination and support, estimating project costs, purchase orders, contract change orders, head contract and shop drawing distribution and subcontract documentation.
  • Assisting in scheduling and expediting materials and sub trades. Monitoring and providing feedback on sub trade performance.
  • As part of the mobilization of the contract, prepare and maintain the deficiency list. Assist in the coordination of deficiency corrections.
  • Accounts payable, accounts receivable and invoicing as required on a project basis.
  • Maintaining awareness and compliance with safety and quality control procedures.
  • Developing and monitoring the project schedule, budget, reporting any deviation and providing solutions to get on track.
  • Identifying project risks, problems, and issues as early as possible; ensuring mitigating actions are in place to minimize impact.
  • Involved in all facets of project close-out.
  • Ensuring that all company policies and procedures are being followed for the duration of the project.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely, professional manner and on an ongoing basis.
  • Communicating and Keeping project team and IS manager well informed of changes and updates.
  • Provide support to the IS manager with ongoing tasks to ensure operation success.
  • Comply with Dexterra safety policies and procedures, and support the company’s the vision and goals
  • Perform other operational duties as required.
  • Qualifications

    WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Post-Secondary education; college diploma and/or university degree
  • 1 - 2 years of relevant working experience
  • Working knowledge as a Project Coordinator is an asset.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task within a fast-paced environment and operate within tight deadlines.
  • Strong organization and analytical skills
