Early Childhood Educator at YMCA

Become a vital part of YMCA Holy Cross as a Level 2 Early Childhood Educator in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Engage children aged 0-12 in a nurturing and stimulating environment.

As a full-time educator, you'll implement exciting curriculum activities that foster social, emotional, and cognitive development. Emphasizing safety, you will maintain an inclusive space, document children’s progress, and collaborate with parents to monitor growth.

Your role includes mentoring new educators and ensuring compliance with YMCA and provincial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement curriculum that promotes holistic development

• Create engaging activities that inspire exploration

• Observe and document individual learning experiences

• Enforce health and safety standards consistently

• Build daily relationships with parents for communication

Requirements:

• Desired experience in child care

• Level 2 Child Care Certification completion or progress

• Valid First Aid & CPR Certification

• Background check with Vulnerable sector necessary

• Technological proficiency, including Microsoft Office
