Position: Educational Assistant for Special Needs Support
Become an Educational Assistant at Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools, focusing on supporting students with individual needs and fostering an inclusive educational environment.

This role will see you working closely with the school planning team and teachers to execute programs tailored for students. You will provide key feedback on student performance, support group activities, and connect with learners who have various abilities and backgrounds. Your interpersonal skills will be critical in managing behavior effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and follow programs developed by educational teams

• Monitor and report observations to supervisory Teachers

• Aid in both group activities and one-on-one student interactions

• Apply behavioral management techniques respectfully

• Encourage student participation across different areas

Requirements:

• Preferred Educational Assistant certificate or diploma

• Willingness to support personal hygiene needs

• Experience in special needs educational settings is a plus

• Excellent communication and rapport-building skills

• Flexibility to work with diverse student populations
