Experienced Wapiti Operator at Cenovus

Cenovus is looking for an experienced Wapiti Operator for our Northern Corridor Operations team. This role focuses on the efficient operation of the Wapiti oil battery in Grande Prairie.

As a Wapiti Operator, you will take ownership of your area, ensuring the safe and reliable functioning of pumping wells and pipelines. The ideal candidate will conduct hazard assessments and optimize production systems to enhance equipment uptime. Your experience will guide the team with minimal supervision while boosting efficiency in operations compliant with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and troubleshoot wells and compression systems

• Manage call-outs and supervise contractor activities

• Conduct hazard assessments and lead safety initiatives

• Maintain accuracy in downtime and production documentation

• Utilize operational systems to drive efficiency improvements

Requirements:

• Legally authorized to work in Canada

• Minimum Grade 12 education

• 5+ years of relevant experience

• Oil and gas treating and compression experience preferred

• Valid Class 5 driver's license with a satisfactory record
