As an Infrastructure Technologist with the Alberta Public Service, you will lead technical reviews and planning initiatives vital for future highway improvements. Your expertise will facilitate collaboration with municipalities, ensure adherence to long-term infrastructure goals, and guide responsible development throughout Alberta. Play a key role in enhancing the safety and efficiency of transportation systems while supporting community growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review development applications for highway safety compliance
• Assist with infrastructure studies and consultant selections
• Prepare project scoping documents and safety assessments
• Identify highway network improvements through planning studies
• Collaborate with stakeholders on development implications
Requirements:
• Technical diploma, Civil Engineering Technology preferred
• Four years of related experience in highway planning
• Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s Licence
• Knowledge of highway geometric design standards
• Strong analytical skills for technical report interpretation
