Senior SAP HR/Payroll Business Analyst

Duration: 3 Months

Work Type: Remote (US or Canada)

Hours: On-Demand | 20–40 Hours per Week

Position Summary

Seeking a Senior SAP HR/Payroll Business Analyst with extensive experience in US and Canadian Payroll, including Quebec payroll regulations. This role will support tax and regulatory compliance initiatives by translating legislative changes into SAP HR/Payroll system updates, functional specifications, configurations, and testing strategies.

The ideal consultant will possess deep expertise in SAP HR/Payroll modules, payroll tax processes, and end-to-end payroll operations across SAP environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and translate US, Canadian, and Quebec payroll legislative updates into SAP system requirements
  • Develop business analysis documents, functional specifications, user stories, and test strategies
  • Lead functional analysis, configuration, and testing for SAP HR/Payroll updates
  • Provide expertise in SAP US/Canada Payroll processing, tax calculations, and compliance requirements
  • Support SAP Tax Reporter, T4, and Quebec RL reporting processes
  • Collaborate with Development and QA teams to ensure successful delivery of regulatory updates
  • Troubleshoot complex payroll and tax-related SAP issues
  • Communicate system impacts, release documentation, and configuration instructions to stakeholders
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum activities and project planning

Required Experience

  • 15+ years of SAP HR/Payroll experience focused on US and Canadian payroll
  • Strong expertise with:
  • SAP US & Canada Payroll
  • Quebec Payroll processes
  • SAP Tax Reporter
  • Payroll tax configuration and compliance
  • Functional specifications and testing
  • Deep understanding of payroll operations and legislative requirements
  • Experience with SAP configuration, troubleshooting, and end-to-end payroll processes
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agile/Scrum experience
  • JIRA experience
  • ABAP/debugging knowledge
  • French language skills are a plus

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
