Position: Pool Operator I at City
Join the City of Grande Prairie as a Pool Operator I and ensure aquatic safety and efficiency. This role involves maintaining water quality and managing operational systems.

The Recreation Department is seeking a dedicated Pool Operator I. You will conduct routine water testing, balance chemicals, and perform maintenance on aquatic systems. Your responsibilities encompass monitoring systems, maintaining logs, and ensuring compliance with health regulations across pools and amenities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain water quality through regular testing and chemical balancing

• Monitor aquatic systems and ensure operational logs are accurate

• Perform preventative maintenance on pool equipment

• Manage chemical inventory and respond to water quality incidents

• Ensure all facilities are safe, clean, and operational

Requirements:

• Pool Operations 1 Certification is mandatory

• Minimum 18 years of age

• First Aid/CPR and WHMIS certified

• Experience in public swimming pool maintenance

• Strong organizational and decision-making skills
