Public Works Maintenance Labourer

Be part of the City of Grande Prairie team as a Maintenance Labourer for public works. Ideal candidates are self-motivated and will focus on essential cleaning and maintenance tasks in this full-time or seasonal role.

This position requires working during the day and involves maintaining sidewalks, streets, and other public spaces. You'll be tasked with loading trucks, shoveling materials, and operating equipment like mixers. If you excel at working outdoors and have strong communication skills, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain public sidewalks, roads, and grounds

• Load and unload supplies and maintenance equipment

• Operate mixers and spread concrete or asphalt

• Remove snow and debris from various areas

• Collaborate with the public works team effectively

Requirements:

• Fluency in English is necessary

• 1 to 7 months of experience in a similar role

• No formal education required

• Willingness to undergo a driving record check

• Commitment to working in municipal government

Contribute to public service with hands-on maintenance work in Grande Prairie.
