Operation Manager

Boon Teck Seafood Comp Pte Ltd – Woodlands

We are seeking an experienced and hands‑on Seafood Manufacturing Operations Manager to oversee daily production operations in our seafood processing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient operations, product quality, food safety compliance, manpower management, and on‑time order fulfillment.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, operational discipline, and experience in seafood or food manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily seafood processing and production operations to meet output, quality, and delivery requirements
  • Plan and manage manpower deployment, shift scheduling, and productivity
  • Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards (SFA, NEA, HACCP where applicable)
  • Implement and enforce SOPs for processing, packaging, storage, and dispatch
  • Monitor production efficiency, wastage, and cost control
  • Coordinate closely with Sales, Logistics, and Procurement teams
  • Manage equipment, facilities, and maintenance schedules
  • Handle operational incidents including production delays, quality issues, and manpower challenges
  • Train, guide, and discipline production staff when necessary
  • Prepare daily / weekly operational reports for management

Requirements
  • Minimum 3‑5 years experience in seafood processing, food manufacturing, or related operations
  • Proven experience in managing production teams
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Able to work in cold‑room and wet‑market environments
  • Good leadership, problem‑solving, and communication skills
  • Able to work early hours, weekends, or public holidays when required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in live seafood handling or wet market operations
  • Knowledge of inventory control and yield management
  • Prior supervisory or managerial role in a food manufacturing facility
