Assistant Head Nurse

Take on a pivotal role as the Assistant Head Nurse in Transition Services at AHS in Grande Prairie. This position focuses on clinical leadership and patient-centered care, ensuring a smooth transition for clients.

As an Assistant Head Nurse, you will guide Transition Team members through complex assessments and difficult conversations. Your clinical expertise will directly contribute to quality care across various programs while actively facilitating smoother client flows through coordinated partnerships. Collaboration with Emergency, Acute Care, and community providers is key to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and support for nursing staff

• Manage staff assignments and patient flow

• Ensure quality patient-centered care and operational priorities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments in various environments

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with CRNA registration or eligibility

• Over 7 years of relevant nursing experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to navigate complex healthcare discussions

• Capacity to manage high-stress situations
