Rentco's Tool Shed (a division of Rentco Equipment Ltd.) is a local company that has been servicing Grande Prairie and the Peace Country for over 60 years. They provide the tools and equipment to complete home-owner repairs and maintenance. Rentco's Tool Shed is also a "go-to" place in Grande Prairie for event rentals, permanent holiday lighting, and Stihl and Husqvarna tools.
We are currently hiring a full-time Front Counter Equipment Rental Representative.
As the Front Counter Equipment Rental Representative, you are responsible for:
- Assisting customers in-store and over the phone by providing information about our equipment and stock
- Processing customer rentals and purchases
- Maintaining a high level of product and service knowledge
- Participating in merchandizing and promotional activities
- Preparing detailed invoices and customer statements
- Creating work orders for damaged or deficient equipment
- Verifying received shipments by checking order against shipping documents and notify Manager of any discrepancies and omissions
- Keeping shelf selection areas stocked and clean and orderly
- Previous experience in the retail industry or proven knowledge of yard and home maintenance equipment
- Ability to work Monday to Friday from either 8-5 or 9-6 and on a Saturday rotation with increased hours, including Sundays during the spring and summer
- Excellent customer skills
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate computer skills, including programs Microsoft Excel and Outlook, and the ability to learn our internal software
