Compass is seeking a Laborer for our Retrofit team.
What You Will Do
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Follow written and oral instructions from the Foreman/Lead HandClean, organize, and sweep the work area and yard as requiredAssist tradesmen as requiredRemove and install pressure vessels and process pipingMove parts and materials in a safe and competent mannerMeasure and mark pipes for cutting or threadingCut and thread pipes using cutting torches, pipe threaders, power and hand toolsOperate equipment in a safe and competent mannerUse of basic hand tools and power toolsAssist in other areas of shop as required and assigned by Branch CoordinatorParticipate in Compass Safety Program including accident investigations and worksite inspectionsWear PPE and observe health & safety polices and procedures at all timesStrong promoter of the Compass Brand PromiseTravel to field locations for and provide cross functional work duties as requiredWhat You Bring
Your education and experience include
Interest and ability to move into an apprenticeship position.Apprentice would be considered.Grade 12 diploma or equivalentStrong attention to safe work proceduresPhysically able to stand for long periods of timeAbility to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.Possess good driving habits and have a clean Drivers AbstractTeam player with attention to detailAt Compass, we are always looking for the right people with “can do” attitudes and a willingness to help wherever needed, this means that you may need to take on other tasks and duties that may not be listed above or may change based on the location or needs of the company.
