As the Shop Mechanic you will report to the Logistics and Dispatch Team and be based out of Grande Prairie, BC. The role will be Monday to Friday as well as weekend coverage when required. This position is responsible for ensuring the company equipment is well maintained and repaired, meeting all standards and requirements, and that defects are resolved expeditiously and that internal customer questions are resolved in a timely manner.
Position: Shop Mechanic | Full-time (Monday – Friday)
Compensation: $45-49/hr, depending on experience | On-call Pay:

Qualifications:
Experience and Proficiencies:
Understanding of industry regulatory requirements
Proficiency with computers including MSOffice applications preferred
Cryogenic equipment experience is an asset
Certifications:
Red Seal Certification
CDL/Class 1 License preferred
CVI certification preferred
High School Diploma
Location:
Applicants residing in the Grande Prairie region are preferred.
Responsibilities
Prioritize safety on all work tasks
Perform preventive maintenance of fleet/equipment
Maintaining detailed records of repair and parts inventory
Responsible for ensuring, maintaining, and promoting safe & efficient work practices
Ensures company policy is always followed in accordance with the Company ISO
9001: 2015 Quality Management System.
Responsible to report any safety issues, incidents, or gaps in the Quality Management System
Respectful team-player that leads with professionalism and integrity
Takes pride in always maintaining tools, and enforcing a safe and clean work area
complete repairs timely and efficiently
Perform & analyze diagnostic tests on vehicles to find faults and make needed repairs while ensuring that all trailers are purged before entering the shop
Interface with internal customers, drivers, and other company personnel; communicating effectively and professionally with a spirit of teamwork
Test drive vehicles to gauge performance
Provide service summary to drivers and ensure all checks and balances are performed before returning to vehicle to operations
General
Qualifications:
Strong written and oral communication skills
Flexibility to complete service calls
Demonstrates strong mechanical and technical aptitude
Detail oriented and able to spot errors
