Schedule varies week to week; schedule is created a week in advance; could be a mix of shifts and need to be open to all possibilities.
The License Office is open M/T/Th/F 8am-5pm, W 8am-7pm, and Saturdays 8am-12pm.
Looking for friendly people who are able to work 20-25 hours (part time), including Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings.
Position Requirements- Must be able to pass a criminal background check (including fingerprints)
- Must be current on all Personal Property and Income Taxes
- Must be able to prove legal registration for all owned vehicles (yourself and spouse if applicable)
- Must have a valid Missouri Driver’s License or I.D. and be a Missouri resident
- Receives license applications, verifies information and issues license plates, driver license and stickers. Collects expired plates, licenses and stickers.
- Receives and records license fees, makes change, completes and files cash report.
- Assists customers in completing applications, informs customers regarding needed documentation and signatures.
- Takes pictures of applicants and laminates licenses.
- Runs daily activity report from computer records.
- Sorts application paperwork and files papers.
- Answers telephone, routes calls and takes and relays messages.
- All other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent with six months to one year of customer service experience or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Requires the ability to process, calculate, compute, summate, and/or tabulate data and/or information. Includes the ability to perform subsequent action in relation to these computational operations.
- Requires the ability to utilize a variety of advisory data and information such as application forms, ownership titles, proof of insurance, personal identification documents, cash register tapes, statutes, procedures, guidelines and correspondence.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively with customers and department personnel.
$17.50 per hour with Paid Holidays and PTO accrual
