JobDetails
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) in KS and/or MO (or ability to obtain quickly)
- 7+ years of bridge design experience with progressive project management responsibility
- Experience with DOT bridge projects (KDOT and/or MoDOT strongly preferred)
- Proficiency in bridge design software (steel and concrete structures)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Experience in bridge inspection or load rating a plus
- Willingness to travel for client and project site needs
This position plays a key role in driving quality design execution, mentoring technical staff, and expanding client relationships across the region.
Key Responsibilities- Manage multiple bridge and transportation design projects (scope, schedule, and budget)
- Develop project work plans, budgets, and resource allocations
- Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior and mid‑level engineers
- Partner with state DOTs and municipalities to deliver complex bridge and roadway structures
- Serve as the primary liaison with clients and subconsultants
- Participate in strategic pursuits and proposal development
- Represent the firm at professional and industry events
- Support inspection, load rating, and asset management initiatives
