• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• Professional Engineer (PE) in KS and/or MO (or ability to obtain quickly)
• 7+ years of bridge design experience with progressive project management responsibility
• Experience with DOT bridge projects (KDOT and/or MoDOT strongly preferred)
• Proficiency in bridge design software (steel and concrete structures)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Experience in bridge inspection or load rating a plus
• Willingness to travel for client and project site needs

This position plays a key role in driving quality design execution, mentoring technical staff, and expanding client relationships across the region.

• Manage multiple bridge and transportation design projects (scope, schedule, and budget)
• Develop project work plans, budgets, and resource allocations
• Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior and mid‑level engineers
• Partner with state DOTs and municipalities to deliver complex bridge and roadway structures
• Serve as the primary liaison with clients and subconsultants
• Participate in strategic pursuits and proposal development
• Represent the firm at professional and industry events
• Support inspection, load rating, and asset management initiatives
