Position SummaryMarmic Fire & Safety seeks a skilled, detail‑oriented Alarm Technician to install, maintain, repair, and support fire, intrusion, and monitoring alarm systems. Responsibilities span installation, routine maintenance, technical troubleshooting, customer service, documentation, and compliance.
Core Responsibilities- Install, configure, and test alarm systems per company standards and client specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance and regulatory compliance.
- Troubleshoot and repair technical issues, including diagnostics, repairs, and component replacements.
- Provide on‑site technical support, advising clients on upgrades, maintenance, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate service records, complete reports, and log client interactions for billing and follow‑up.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, educating clients on system operation and maintaining professional relationships.
- Adhere to safety protocols, industry regulations, and company policies, staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience as an alarm technician or in a similar technical role.
- Hands‑on experience installing and servicing alarm systems.
- Knowledge of alarm system components, wiring, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills with clear, professional communication.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Technical certification or training in alarm systems, electronics, or a related field.
- NICET certification or training in alarm systems.
- Knowledge of AC/DC circuitry and low‑voltage systems.
- Experience with Gamewell‑FCI systems.
- Competitive hourly pay ($25–$32/hr) and sign‑on bonus potential.
