Kimminau Wood Floors is offering a 3-year apprenticeship program developed in conjunction with the National Wood Flooring Association, accredited by the US Department of Labor and Missouri Department of Labor.
This program includes over 6,000 hours of PAID on-the-job training and over 480 hours of classroom/online instruction. Pay is based on time and competency, with 6-month pay adjustments. Graduates receive NWFA certifications in both Installation and Sand/Finish.

Description: Provide wood floor installation, sanding, and finishing services. Understand construction safety requirements and core competencies in installation and finishing. Utilize hand and power tools, perform jobsite testing and preparation, layout and design, and identify and repair common issues.
Term: Hybrid (estimated 4,075-6,225 hours). The program combines on-the-job learning and classroom/online instruction. Upon completion, apprentices are eligible for NWFA Certified Professional status.
On-The-Job Learning: Apprentices will be trained in various aspects of wood flooring. The order and timing of training will depend on work flow and individual progress. The training times are estimates meant to guide skill development and absorption rate.
