Salary Range: $73,000 - $112,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities- Develop and optimize mechanical designs for manufacturability and performance.
- Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings for production.
- Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for product components.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to resolve design issues.
- Conduct design analysis (e.g., DFM, DFA) to ensure cost-effectiveness and reliability.
- Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new and modified designs.
- Generate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for design specifications.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, Inventor, Creo) and PDM systems.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, welding) and material selection.
- Expertise in applying GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and DFM/DFA principles.
- Experience with design validation, prototyping, and testing methodologies.
- Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop innovative, cost-effective solutions.
- Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Hands‑on experience with prototyping, fabrication, or assembly processes.
- Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
