Position: Private Duty Home Health Aide (HHA/CNA)

Pay Range: $16–$18 per hour

About the Client

Our client is a very friendly paraplegic woman with a tracheostomy and peg tube. Due to wheelchair use and limited hand function, she requires assistance with the following:

  • Range of motion exercises
  • Breathing treatments
  • ADLs (Activities of Daily Living)
  • Transportation to doctor’s appointments and other accident-related appointments (aide must be able to transport)

She currently receives weekly speech therapy, and physical and occupational therapy.

About the Role

Centria caregivers provide essential in-home support to help individuals remain safe, comfortable, and independent. You’ll work one-on-one with clients in a private home setting, supporting their unique care needs.

  • Assist with mobility and transfers to prevent falls
  • Provide basic personal care
    , including hygiene, toileting, and dressing
  • Monitor and assist with oxygen therapy as needed
  • Prepare light snacks or drinks upon request
  • Offer companionship and emotional reassurance throughout the shift
  • Assist in positioning and turning to prevent discomfort
  • Document and report changes in client condition promptly
  • Respond to emergencies following proper procedures
  • Perform duties as outlined in the patient’s plan of care
  • Monitor client’s physical and mental condition
    , intake/output, and exercise
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy care environment
  • Follow professional standards, care policies, and local/state/federal requirements
Qualifications
  • CNA, HHA
    , or equivalent experience in home care preferred
  • Experience working with fall-risk and mobility-impaired clients strongly desired
  • Must be comfortable assisting with personal care tasks
  • Reliable, patient, and attentive to individual needs
  • Comfortable working in a private home setting
  • Ability to work independently and follow a care plan
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Comfortable using tablets/computers for documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow all care protocols
  • Ability to address minor medical concerns as they arise

To be eligible for employment, all caregivers must provide the following:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Negative TB Test Results
  • Proof of Auto Insurance (with your name listed on the policy)
