Our client is a well established organization in the construction industry and they are seeking an experienced HR/Payroll Specialist to join their team. This role offers autonomy, ownership, and the chance to become a trusted partner to the HR Manager in a high-trust, collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do As The HR/Payroll Specialist
  • Payroll Management (70–80%)
    • Full-cycle payroll for approximately 140 employees across multiple entities
    • Biweekly processing, job costing, and compliance
    • Utilize Excel for reporting and analysis
  • HR Support (20–30%)
    • Assist with benefits administration and performance management
    • Provide backup support for recruiting and safety tracking
    • Partner closely with the HR Manager on day-to-day HR initiatives
What We're Looking For
  • Experience:

    3–5+ years in payroll and HR functions
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Proficiency in Excel; comfort with HR/payroll software
  • Industry Exposure:
    Construction or manufacturing preferred
  • Education:

    Associate’s degree accepted;
    Bachelor’s preferred (experience matters most)
  • Soft Skills:
    • Self-directed and dependable
    • Comfortable handling conflict and working with diverse personalities
    • Adaptable and tech-savvy
