Department Manager – McDonald’s

This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee and not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee will be your employer and is responsible for all employment matters.

Description

We’re looking for a positive, energetic team player who can lead shifts and manage one or more departments. The ideal candidate is flexible, organized, and committed to delivering a fast, friendly, and high‑quality experience for our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
  • Manage assigned systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management; set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to the team and other managers.
  • Oversee Guest Service Department operations to guarantee that crew and managers deliver a great customer experience, execute sales promotions effectively, train staff on service procedures, and maintain organization of the Front Counter, McCafé, and Drive‑Thru areas.
  • Supervise Kitchen Department activities to ensure the restaurant delivers high‑quality food quickly, maintains food safety and cost control, and trains kitchen staff on production procedures and new menu items.
  • Lead People Department responsibilities by hiring qualified crew, training them, and scheduling to meet sales and profit goals; motivate crew and recognize performance throughout their tenure.
Qualifications
  • Previous managerial experience preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
  • Must be at least 18 years old to manage in a corporate‑owned McDonald’s restaurant.
  • Positive team‑player attitude with a flexible schedule and a passion for operating in a fast‑paced environment.
