Airgas is hiring for a Local Delivery Driver in Grandville, MI!
We are looking for you!

• Monday – Friday, First Shift Opening

• Operate newer, well‑maintained equipment

• Operate a Class A Hazmat vehicle, delivering compressed and liquid gas cylinders and hard goods along designated routes.
• Collect empty cylinders from customers and return them to plant or branch locations for refilling.
• Address customer inquiries, ensuring satisfaction, and provide timely communication to manager or Airgas sales associate regarding any changes or issues.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle checks, noting issues and ensuring safety compliance.
• Present a professional appearance and maintain the vehicle’s condition.
• Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to customer locations.
• Return empty cylinders to either a plant or branch location for refilling.
• Establish and maintain good customer relations.
• Maintain load manifests and all required vehicle documents, ensuring they are properly completed and reconciled with truck counts and shipping documents before and after deliveries.
• Ensure that vehicle manifests, vehicle placards, cylinder labeling and load nesting and strapping comply with Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and all government regulations.
• Work in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.

• Valid Class A Driver’s License.
• Valid Medical Examiner’s Card.
• Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications (or ability to acquire certifications as a condition of employment).
• At least one (1) year of prior Class A professional driving experience within the last five (5) years and a clean driving record (no >2 convictions; or no more than 2 at‑fault accidents in the last 3 years; or no more than one conviction and one at‑fault accident in the last 3 years).
• In lieu of experience, may consider accepting a diploma from an accredited driving school or a combination of driving and prior Airgas specific experience.
• Must be at least 21 years or older.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift Experience.
• Touch freight delivery experience.
