Equipment Operator Overview

This position is responsible for operating large equipment such as a switch truck, hydraulic crane, nibbler crane, mobile crane, large loader and /or trac-mobile. Actively participates and displays behaviors of the company values. Must have a valid driver's license.

• Use equipment to load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks or rail cars, and/or to move materials to designated areas. Maintain necessary reports for production and inventory, outbound truck, railcar loads and machine maintenance.
• Distinguish between different grades and types of materials.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing loads, upgrading material if possible.
• Assist in hand sorting material when necessary.
• Other duties as required.

Responsible for weighing railcars and maintaining rails and switches.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Self-motivated.
• Must be willing to work in an outdoor environment.
• Must pay attention to detail.
• Proven customer service skills.
• Six months of proven experience in large equipment operation.
• Safety oriented.
• Strong mathematical skills and organizational skills required.
• Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.
