GAC UK is looking for an Accounts Assistant based in Grangemouth. Could it be you?

Key Responsibilities

You will support the finance function across a range of core accounting and administrative duties, including:

  • Managing the department mailbox and responding to queries from internal and external parties
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Posting journals and supporting ledger reviews
  • Calculating and posting monthly accruals and prepayments
  • Preparing balance sheet and bank reconciliations
  • Supporting the UK statutory reporting process
  • Analysing and posting credit card and cash expenses
  • Setting up bank payments for authorisation
  • Contributing to ad‑hoc project work and continuous improvement initiatives
Business Analysis
  • Providing analytical insights to support business decision‑making and identify areas for improvement
  • Producing and presenting regular management information reports
  • Supporting budget tracking and performance analysis
Job Requirements
  • Proven ability to work to tight deadlines with strong time‑management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong competency in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced environment
  • Knowledge and experience of journal posting (including debits and credits)
  • Confidence communicating with non‑finance colleagues across the business
