Job Title Terminal Scheduler

Summary We’re looking for an experienced Terminal Scheduler to join a dynamic team, ensuring the efficient coordination and optimisation of terminal operations. This is an on-site position, ideal for someone with strong scheduling experience and an understanding of marine and fuel operations. If you thrive on problem-solving and clear decision-making, this role could be a great fit.

Overview Our client is a major player in the energy and fuel industry, known for maintaining rigorous operational standards and driving commercial value through efficient terminal operations.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver the Daily Stock Progression Report
  • Prepare and deliver the weekly terminal import/export plan, including daily re-optimisation for any deviations
  • Coordinate with Terminal Maintenance, Operations teams and JV interfaces for scheduling unplanned outages
  • Manage tankage and jetty scheduling with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support fuel quality management and seasonal specification changes
  • Oversee additive stock levels and purchase requirements
  • Complete local vessel clearances and prepare daily night notes for handover to shift supervisors
Must-have Requirements
  • Strong scheduling experience, ideally in a terminal or similar environment
  • Knowledge of shipping, hydrocarbon products, and maintenance processes
  • Sound understanding of fuel quality regulations
  • Experience of marine operations
  • Demonstrated commercial awareness
  • Ability to develop solutions to complex operational issues
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making ability under pressure
Nice-to-have Skills
  • Relevant degree or HNC/HND qualification
  • Familiarity with business processes and JV environments
