We’re offering individuals the opportunity to develop their skills and progress their careers through our Apprentice Mechanical Fitter apprenticeship. Over four years, you’ll gain practical experience, build specialist knowledge, and work towards a recognised qualification, SCQF Level 7 in Engineering:
Asset Lifecycle and Maintenance.

We will hold our assessment day for this role at the Port of Grangemouth, where you will have the chance to meet some of the team and to find out more about the role and the apprenticeship. We will be in touch before then to let you know if you have been selected to attend.

Our Apprentice Mechanical Fitter will work towards an SCQF Level 7 qualification in Engineering:
Asset Lifecycle and Maintenance. Learning will be delivered through day‑release at college, where they will develop a solid understanding of the fundamentals of mechanical engineering, safety, and maintenance practices. Alongside this, the apprentice will work in our port workshop with experienced engineers, gaining hands‑on experience while completing their vocational qualifications in the workplace and supporting the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of critical assets in a live operational environment.
