Quality Control Analyst (one-year contract)
Are you passionate about quality control and ensuring the highest standards in product integrity? If so, our client is looking for a dedicated QC Analyst to join their dynamic team at the Grangemouth site! This is your chance to make a significant impact in a fast-paced and exciting environment.
What You'll Do:
As a QC Analyst, you will be at the forefront of ensuring product quality and compliance with manufacturing specifications. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting quality control analysis on a variety of samples, including in-process, final products, occupational hygiene, and environmental samples.
- Providing analytical support to manufacturing plants and troubleshooting any equipment issues that may arise.
- analysing, checking, and determining if product quality meets predetermined specifications.
- Ensuring all analytical equipment is calibrated and maintained to meet departmental quality systems.
- Collaborating with the QC team to ensure timely reporting of sample results.

You will be part of a cohesive team, working alongside both day and shift teams, fostering a collaborative atmosphere. While you won't have direct reports, your contributions will be vital to the overall success of the department!
What We're Looking For:
We seek candidates with:
- Analytical Expertise: Proficiency in a range of analytical techniques, especially G.C and HPLC operations.
- Effective Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels within the organisation.
- Planning Skills: Strong organisational skills to manage and prioritise your workload effectively, especially during peak production times.
- Adaptability: Capability to operate efficiently under pressure and adapt to varying workloads.
Experience Matters:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Technical proficiency and operational experience with Agilent instrumentation.
- Hands-on experience in GC and HPLC maintenance and troubleshooting.
- (Desirable) Skills in occupational hygiene monitoring and environmental monitoring, including swabbing and effluent analysis.
- (Desirable) Experience as an advanced user of Agilent UPLC, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
Education Requirements:
A minimum of HNC or equivalent in a science or engineering-related discipline is required to ensure you have the foundational knowledge for success in this role.
