The Tug Master will be responsible for safe, efficient operations and maintaining a high standard for Svitzer vessels.

• Operate safely during assisted ship operations and coastal towage in a timely manner.
• Ensure a safety culture on board at all times and that all crew use the available tools.
• Administer all ship‑management activities, including timely safety and operational reporting and record keeping.
• Coordinate closely with Marine Managers, Harbour Pilots and other stakeholders to plan and communicate towage operations.

• Minimum Master certificate.
• Experience with ASD propulsion.
• Harbour/terminal and coastal towage experience essential.
• Strong administrative and computer skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• UK driving licence.

Primary location is the Tyne, but applications from across the UK are welcome. The role involves a 2‑weeks on/off rotation living aboard the Ormesby Cross.
