Talent Manager, HR Manager, Employee Relations
Summary
The HR Business Partner reports to the Manager of HR Business Partners and Operations and is responsible for supporting the healthcare system. This role partners with frontline managers and supervisors on special projects, pulls in key stakeholders, and collaborates with HR centers of excellence across pods on innovative solutions. The role also supports the Manager of HR Operations and Strategy in executing human and business capital strategies.

- Serves as a consultant to assigned business units on Human Resources related issues and BHS policies and procedures by advising, counseling, interpreting and administering policies to ensure compliance.
- Provides guidance on legal issues related to employment law.
- Counseling directors and managers in matters of absenteeism, performance, conduct and working relationships.
- Provides coaching to supervisors and managers on associate matters.
- Attends safety/readiness huddles and front-line management meetings to share updates on HR policy and procedures.
- Assists managers with analyzing engagement survey results and collaborates on engagement activities.
- Assists with gathering, analyzing and reporting HR metrics and identifying talent needs.
- Supports selected leaders’ continued learning and development through ongoing coaching.
- Point of contact for all human resources topics for assigned business units, collaborating across HR pods on strategic solutions.
- Consults on position reviews, internal reorganizations, compensation and structure changes.
- Supports investigations, grievances and workforce concerns in partnership with Labor and Associate Relations Team.
- Provides assistance on FMLA, ADA, Workers Compensation matters with Associate Relations and Employee Health.
- Works with OD Team to assess training needs and develop training for directors and managers.
- Acts as liaison for recruitment, compensation and benefits.
- Partners with compensation staff on organizational design and salary offers.
- Collaborates with the HR Team on best practices and improvement initiatives.
- Analyzes associate turnover and recommends retention solutions.
- Analyzes engagement survey results, shares insights and gathers feedback.
- Collaborates on department orientation/training.
- Researches and recommends programs for associate recognition.
- Drafts or revises policies and procedures.
- Serves on committees where HR representation is desired.
- Completes other job–related assignments and special projects as directed.
- Attends meetings and shares information.
- Completes mandatory education and competencies.
- Maintains licenses, certifications, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Adheres to safety protocols and universal precautions.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or related field. Master’s preferred.
Minimum 3 years of HR experience in a large union/non‑union organization with experience in employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, and recruitment. Professional certification (PHR or SPHR) strongly preferred.
Knowledge and Skills- Thorough knowledge of HR law and practices.
- Analytical abilities to investigate complaints and recommend solutions.
