This is an Oracle Health Orders Analyst position. Preference will be given to applicants with previous Orders experience. Clinical experience in healthcare is a plus. Remote opportunities can be discussed. Reports to the Application Manager. Responsibilities include the coordination of assigned computer applications for defined support areas, project planning, analysis, implementation and support. The role performs general consulting and serves as a liaison with all Beacon Health System end‑user departments as required, leads development of solutions requiring analysis and research, and supports existing computer applications/systems through troubleshooting, end‑user training, quality assurance and computer system security.

Additional duties include handling complex issues, training other Systems Analysts, performing small‑project management, and utilizing process‑improvement techniques.

Responsibilities
  • Provides ongoing support to one or more applications/systems in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures.
  • Performs system tests and analyzes test results.
  • Analyzes moderately complex situations or data by reviewing identifiable factors.
  • Prepares specifications for new systems, projects or enhancements with end‑users and information system staff as necessary.
  • Contributes to projects by determining tasks and priorities necessary to accomplish given objectives.
  • Develops and maintains documentation according to established departmental policies and procedures.
  • Follows established standards, methodologies and procedures to ensure quality work product is produced.
  • Serves as a liaison and facilitator with Beacon Health end‑user departments, recommending solutions or alternatives to meet end‑user needs and improve job performance.
  • Actively participates in business process redesign and documentation.
  • Actively identifies solutions that meet end‑user department needs most effectively and efficiently.
  • Acts as a liaison and advocate for the end‑user department, providing liaison between end‑users and IS.
  • Communicates verbally (by phone and in person), in writing and visually by observing keyboard and printed representations of issues and requests.
  • Performs troubleshooting activities to avoid potential problems.
  • Develops and conducts Train‑the‑Trainer programs for end‑users on Beacon’s new or existing computer systems.
  • Provides coaching and mentoring to system analysts on high‑complexity support and project implementation issues; leads by example.
  • Undertakes special projects at the direction of an IS Manager, Director or the CIO.
  • Actively reinforces the common vision of the work group and openly supports changes within the organization.
  • Produces quality results within established timelines and engages in activities beyond the scope of the own job when asked.
  • Participates in training, skill development and basic process improvement of IS staff.
  • Fields and resolves customer satisfaction issues courteously, responsively and helpfully; involves senior system analysts or management when appropriate.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with end‑user departments.
  • Completes other job‑related duties and special projects as directed.
Organizational Responsibilities
  • Attends and participates in department meetings and is accountable for all information shared.
  • Completely mandatory education, annual competencies and department‑specific education within established time frames.
  • Completes annual employee health requirements within established time frames.
  • Maintains license/certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year.
  • Direct patient care providers are required to maintain current BCLS (CPR) and other certifications as required by position/department.
