About the Role
Beacon Health System is hiring a Technical Support Specialist I to provide installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of personal computer and server equipment across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Install and replace PC and server hardware and software.
- Verify new computer systems are functioning correctly and provide basic training to end users.
- Maintain documentation according to departmental policies.
- Diagnose and resolve PC-related problems by contacting end users and, if necessary, coordinating with outside vendors.
- Reimage computer hardware and maintain related records.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot printers and printer-related network issues.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Maintain records, reports, and files as required and assist in the care of department facilities, equipment, and supplies.
- Perform any additional job-related duties as assigned.

- Attend and participate in department meetings.

- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a computer‑related field (or equivalent coursework).
- Preferred experience using computer hardware and software applications pertinent to Beacon Health System.
- Technical knowledge of computer operations.
- Installation skills for PC/server hardware and software.
- Organization and time‑management skills to prioritize requests.
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a team‑oriented environment.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and detail‑orientation skills.
- Interpersonal and written communication skills at all staff levels.
- Office environment with frequent computer use.
- Fast‑paced environment requiring prioritization to meet deadlines.
- Flexible schedule, including on‑call, to meet departmental needs.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods.
- Lift, hold, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Use common computer hand tools.
