Tailor Alterations

Join our team at Ziker Cleaners as a Tailor Alterations – Full Time.

• Perform alterations and repairs on a variety of garments, including pants, shirts, dresses, jackets, formal wear, and casual wear.
• Take precise measurements and provide expert recommendations while collaborating with customers to understand their specific tailoring needs and ensure the perfect fit.
• Monitor and maintain sewing deadlines on a consistent basis, ensuring garments are completed 3 days before the promised date.
• Communicate scheduling with customers, including walk‑ins, and provide appropriate pricing and promised dates.
• Manage your own supply inventory and conduct regular maintenance checks of all equipment, reporting any issues to the Alterations Manager immediately.
• Keep the work area tidy and hazard‑free at all times.

• Proven experience as a tailor, with expertise in garment alterations and repairs.
• Strong knowledge of various sewing techniques, equipment, and garment construction.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to achieve precise measurements and finishes.
• Demonstrated competence using both home and industrial sewing equipment.
• 2‑year minimum garment sewing experience.
• Knowledge of proper garment fit.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for customer service.
• Effective communication, with the ability to listen actively and address customer needs.
• Friendly, warm, and approachable demeanor that reflects our commitment to exceptional service.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills to uphold customer scheduling and appointments.
• Ability to work independently and reliably for long periods of time, with minimal supervision.
• Ability to sit, kneel, and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Basic computer and internet literacy.
• Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus.
