Position Overview

As a Smart Home Audio Visual Installation Technician
, you’ll play a hands‑on role in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting high‑end residential A/V and automation systems
. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with technical expertise, problem‑solving skills, and a passion for home technology
.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and integrate home entertainment and automation systems, including:
  • Home theaters
  • Multi‑room audio and video
  • Motorized shades and lighting control
  • Wired and wireless network systems
  • Rack assembly, cable management, and structured wiring for clean, professional installations.
  • System programming and configuration (Control4, Lutron, or similar platforms).
  • Test, troubleshoot, and calibrate systems for optimal performance.
  • Educate and train clients on system usage and best practices.
  • Maintain a clean and professional workspace in clients' homes.
  • Provide technical support and system maintenance as needed.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively within a skilled team.
What You Bring to the Team
  • Experience with A/V installation, smart home systems, Wi‑Fi and IT networking.
  • Previous computer networking experience a plus.
  • CEDIA or other industry certifications are a bonus.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of IP networking and system integration
    .
  • Ability to work with hand and power tools (owning tools is a plus).
  • Experience with Control4, Lutron, Crestron, or similar automation platforms is a big bonus.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
    .
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities
    .
  • Must be able to lift equipment, work on ladders, and perform physical tasks as needed.
  • Proficiency in the use of PC or Apple computers including programs such as MS Office
    .
  • Clean background check required (no felonies).
