We are seeking a Lead Field Service Engineer to provide technical support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation services for industrial packaging machinery. This role requires a hands‑on approach, responding to customer inquiries and traveling to client locations (50-60% of the time) to perform on‑site service and repairs. The ideal candidate will build strong customer relationships and have the opportunity to earn 1% commission on recommended and installed parts

• Set up, fine‑tune, and program packaging machinery, including VFFS & HFFS Baggers, Scales, Check‑Weighing Systems, Metal Detection, X‑Ray Detection, Print & Conveyor Systems

• Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (F.A.T.) to ensure machines meet operational standards.
• Respond promptly to customer service calls and maintenance requests
  .
• Perform maintenance repairs, system overhauls, and troubleshooting on existing equipment.
• Accurately log customer calls, service activities, and expenses related to service work.
• Process invoices and service documentation efficiently.
• Recommend additional services or parts to customers, with an opportunity to earn commission

• 50-60% travel to customer sites for on‑site service.
• $50 per diem in cash for personal use during travel.
• Flights typically depart from South Bend for easy access.

• Emphasis on minimizing weekend travel to support work‑life balance.
