Granite Nursing and Rehab, LLC is hiring a Laundry Aide.

Under the direction of the Housekeeping / Laundry Supervisor, the Laundry Aide is responsible for ensuring facility linen and resident's personal clothing are properly collected, sorted, laundered, distributed and/or stored according to Company policy.

Only 7 minutes from Downtown St. Louis and we are on the MCT Bus Route in Granite City.

• Provides a safe, clean environment for residents in accordance with Resident Care Policies and Procedures.
• Demonstrates ability to adjust to changes in shift assignments to meet Facility needs.
• Handles all laundry in accordance with sanitary guidelines.
li>Sorts all soiled laundry into appropriate categories. Lifts and carries loads of laundry to/from cleaning equipment.
• Washes, dries, folds, and hangs all laundry neatly and properly.
• Identifies personal laundry with resident's name and re-marks personal clothing items, as needed.
• Returns clean resident laundry to appropriate rooms and supply areas.
• Cleans dryer filters every 2 hours, keeps laundry area clean, machines dusted, and floor mopped weekly.
• Works in cooperation with other employees of the Facility to maintain a clean and sanitary environment for both residents and staff.
• Interacts with residents and family members, co-workers, clinical and ancillary staff in a non-judgmental, supportive and calm manner.
• Addresses family satisfaction issues immediately by reporting them to the Supervisor in a professional manner.
• Participates as assigned in the orientation of new staff and demonstrates a positive, helpful, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Performs Housekeeper duties as needed.

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must possess proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communication skills; decision-making skills, basic computer skills; and be able to operate various medical and/or office equipment.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of safety techniques.
• Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required.
• Experience in a related field.
