• Safely operate forklifts and other material‑handling equipment to load and unload trailers, containers, and warehouse storage areas.
• Perform food‑grade loading and unloading in accordance with company and regulatory standards to prevent contamination.
• Handle hazardous materials (HAZMAT) in compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company guidelines.
• Accurately complete and verify all required documentation, including:
  Bill of lading (BOL) lot numbers, product  quantity verification, HAZMAT paperwork, shipping/receiving records.
• Inspect trailers, pallets, and packaging for damage or contamination.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety procedures, PPE requirements, and warehouse best practices.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and report issues promptly.
• Communicate effectively with shipping, receiving, and quality teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
• Assist with inventory counts and rotation as required.

• 2–5+ years of forklift operating experience in a warehouse or distribution center.
• Experience working with food‑grade products and understanding of sanitation requirements.
• Proven HAZMAT handling and documentation experience (certification preferred).
• Strong attention to detail, especially with lot numbers, product tracking, and paperwork accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and safety data sheets (SDS).
• Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and OSHA regulations.
• High school degree, or equivalent.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to pass a drug test to operate heavy machinery.
• Must be able to pass a respirator fitness test and maintain that fitness.
• Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment and work in environments where food‑grade and chemical products are handled.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Must not be legally blind.

Due to work with Hazardous Materials and FDA regulated ingredients and products, Celta must restrict access to the warehouse and products to reduce risk of terrorism, fraud and intentional adulteration of food‑related products. Criminal Background checks will be performed on all new hires to check applicant’s criminal history, mental health, immigration status, and presence on watchlists before authorizing them to work with Hazmat and food production.

This may include prior work history, criminal checks of county, metro, state and federal records going back up to 7 years and FACIS level 1M screening. Celta employees must not have any disqualifying criminal convictions specified in 49 CFR, Part 1572 § ., are legally authorized to work in the U.S., and do not appear on any global sanctions watchlists.

To operate heavy machinery safely, applicants must be able to pass a drug test.
