We are currently hiring a Shipping and Receiving Clerk.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm.

Shift: Full Time.

Location:

USDA in Granite City, Illinois

Key Responsibilities
  • Order accuracy. Verify that all orders are accurately filled. Compares items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment against documents. Counting and bundling products.
  • Accurate shipment packaging. Ensures that all shipments are properly packaged, identified with proper shipping information, and loaded into transportation vehicles. Prepares and keeps records of goods shipped.
  • Package coordination. Coordinates packages for shipment using UPS, USPS, and Federal Express delivery systems.
  • Inventory organization. Maintains organization of inventory and products. Ensures efficient loading & unloading of shipments, tracking & logging shipment information as needed. Coordinate's location of product throughout the warehouse. Handles, drives, and maneuvers a forklift when unloading and loading materials and supplies
  • Promote a culture that advances the Company s mission to provide work opportunities to individuals living with disabilities and disadvantages. Display and promote Company values. Maintain effective communication and positive relationships with co-workers, communicating needs to supervisor and implementing feedback for improvement. Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
Position Qualifications
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred
  • Must currently possess or be able to obtain Forklift Certification within 30 days of hire
  • Driver s License (regular in IL, WI, OH, SC; Class E in MO)
  • Must pass criminal background check and various state and federal registry checks
  • Must pass DCFS Abuse and Neglect Tracking System check
  • Must pass driving history check and Company policy criteria. Must drive Company vehicles/equipment as assigned to transport staff, clients or products
