Position: Accounts Assistant (Part Time)

Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant looking for a varied, part-time role within a friendly, family‑run business?

Our client is a well‑established family‑run business that has been trading successfully for over 30 years. With an excellent reputation, a beautiful showroom environment, and a close‑knit team of long‑serving employees, they pride themselves on providing outstanding service to both commercial and domestic customers.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable business where you’ll play a key role supporting the day‑to‑day accounts function, whilst also assisting with administration across the wider business and the owner’s property portfolio.

The Role

Working closely with the owner and management team, you’ll be responsible for a range of accounting and administrative duties, including:

Accounts Responsibilities
  • Purchase ledger processing
  • Credit control
  • Payroll administration
  • Cash flow monitoring
  • Assisting with Profit & Loss reporting
  • General accounts administration
  • Maintaining accurate financial records
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Processing customer orders
  • Handling customer enquiries
  • Arranging product samples
  • Booking site measures and surveys
  • Preparing quotations
  • General office administration
About You

We’re looking for someone who enjoys being involved in all aspects of a small business and who is happy to turn their hand to a variety of tasks.

You’ll have:

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or Bookkeeping role
  • Experience with purchase ledger, payroll and credit control
  • Strong administration skills
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills
  • A confident and professional telephone manner
  • The ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
