Personal and Social Development / Employability Tutor

Full-time, Permanent

• Deliver engaging sessions, in line with Gateway and NCFE standards, in Personal and Social Development, to a caseload of unemployed learners.
• The successful candidate will be flexible with their delivery methods, providing differentiation and be able to adapt quickly to learners needs.
• Train, assess, motivate and support learners to develop personal and social skills to better prepare them for the working world and develop life skills.
• Prepare and deliver sessions which address the training needs of the group, to include reading and digital literacy.
• Utilise existing delivery resources, as well as preparing own when required.
• Assist learners in identifying the skills required to progress towards their career aspirations.
• The successful candidate must be engaging and able to demonstrate energy and passion to motivate / train clients in order to help learners realise their potential.
• Promote Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.

• Must hold - or be willing to work towards - a recognised Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above (PTLLS/AET or equivalent).
• Experience of delivering Personal Development and/or Employability.
• Must hold a relevant vocational qualification at Level 2 or above.
• Hold a Maths and English level 2 / equivalent
• Demonstrable energy and passion to motivate and train clients.
• Ability to overcome challenges and support learners to progress.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.
