About the role:

justteachers are recruiting for a dedicated Specialist Teacher to join a growing specialist education setting in Grantham, full-time in September 2026. Due to recent expansion and an increase in student numbers, this setting is looking to strengthen its teaching team with a passionate and experienced practitioner. The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and complex learning needs, within a structured and supportive environment.

With smaller class sizes and a strong focus on individualised learning, staff are able to provide tailored education that meets each pupil’s needs. This is an excellent opportunity to join a developing provision at an exciting stage of growth, where you can play a key role in shaping outcomes for pupils and contributing to the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to individual pupil needs
  • Support pupils with SEN including ASD, communication needs, and complex profiles
  • Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and personalised learning strategies
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation through structured approaches
  • Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress effectively
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and senior leaders
  • Contribute to the continued development of the provision as it expands
Pre-requisites:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS or equivalent)
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Strong understanding of differentiated teaching and inclusive practice
  • Ability to manage behaviour positively and effectively
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A patient, resilient, and proactive approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
