Technical Manager - Residential Groundworks

This Technical Manager opportunity is with a Residential Groundworks and Civil Engineering company. With 70 years in operation and a £60m turnover, this established Residential Groundworks company is looking to expand its operational team with the inclusion of a Technical Manager to oversee Site Engineers. There is also an excellent opportunity for career progression into more senior roles.

Projects range from £10m-£40m in value and include working in tandem with main contractors on civil engineering and groundworks packages for major house builders. As such, candidates will ideally come from a Residential Groundworks background and have experience delivering similar schemes.

Overview:

Ensuring technically compliant and economic design solutions are developed at the design stage
Schedules, prioritises and reviews own work
Analytical thinking and decision making
Ability to select economic solutions at tender stage
Understanding of time and the implications of decisions

Education:

Qualified to a minimum of HNC/HND through completion of a technical apprenticeship, or degree
Chartered Engineer would be desirable but not essential
