Our client in Grantham is looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our Grantham team — a role that blends management accounting, commercial insight, and leadership support.

You’ll work closely with the Finance Manager to deliver accurate and timely financial information across multiple profit centres, while driving improvements in processes, reporting, and financial controls. You’ll also support the development of the Finance Assistant and provide key insights to the Senior Management Team to help shape business decisions.

What you’ll do

* Prepare weekly and monthly management accounts for multiple profit centres, ready for review by the Finance Manager

* Analyse financial performance against budgets and forecasts and provide insightful commentary

* Work with the operations team to prepare detailed costings vs budget

* Prepare commercial reports for leadership on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis

* Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of reporting

* Support the annual budget and forecast process

* Provide back-up for monthly payroll and holiday cover for the Finance Manager

* Mentor and oversee the Finance Assistant, helping them develop in their role

This is a hands-on, visible finance role where your insights and analysis will directly impact business decisions.

Who we’re looking for

* CIMA, ACCA qualified or equivalent

* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar accounting/finance role

* Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting principles

* High proficiency in Excel and ability to analyse data effectively

* Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills

* Able to work independently and manage competing deadlines

* Proactive, solution-focused mindset

Desirable:

* Experience with ERP systems (Business Central preferred)

* Multi-site or multi-profit centre experience

* Supervisory or line management experience
