An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and organised Band 3 Administrator to join our Macmillan Cancer Psychology Service in Lincolnshire. This service provides specialist psychological support to adults affected by cancer, including family and carers, both within the community and in hospital. The service consists of qualified Clinical and a Health psychologist who deliver evidence based psychological interventions across the cancer pathway.
Effective administration is central to ensuring patients receive timely, high-quality care.
The post holder will largely work remotely, with a requirement to attend the office in Grantham at least one day per month for team meetings and service needs. The role requires a compassionate, organised, and autonomous individual with strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team that support people experiencing distress related to cancer diagnosis, treatment, death and survivorship.

Main duties of the job- Some patient contact is expected via telephone and email. The role will involve supporting scheduling, including booking, rescheduling, and cancellations.
- Managing and maintaining patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times.
- Acting as a point of contact for the service and handling queries sensitively and professionally.
- Assist with data entry, reporting and routine audits.
- Support clinicians with general admin tasks including correspondence and document preparation.

Job responsibilities- Gathering appropriate information from a variety of sources to input accurately onto a database.
- Production of basic reports including graphs and tables as directed.
- Communicating sensitively with anyone coming into the department maintaining strict standards of confidentiality.
- General administration duties including answering phone, taking messages, dealing with enquiries, dealing with mail, photocopying, and assisting with the effective dissemination of information as appropriate.
- Typing and producing letters, reports, and emails to an accepted standard of quality and accuracy as required.
- Responsible for making room bookings and maintaining room booking diary.
- Assist in scheduling of appointments and diary management using Microsoft calendar.
- Assist in stock control and electronic ordering of all office equipment and stationery; and the subsequent electronic receipting of all received supplies.
- Assist in the proper functioning, maintenance and fault reporting of central equipment used by the Team, e.g. photocopiers, printers, computers…
