Assembly Line Manager

Overview

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading manufacturing business to recruit an Assembly Line Manager to lead operations at their production facility.

This is a key leadership role responsible for driving operational performance across the assembly function, ensuring output, quality, safety, and cost targets are consistently achieved. The successful candidate will play a central role in developing people, improving processes, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.

• Lead day-to-day assembly operations to ensure production plans and delivery schedules are met
• Coordinate labour, materials, and equipment to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime
• Monitor performance against KPIs, identifying and implementing corrective actions where required
• Manage, motivate, and develop team leaders and operatives to achieve high performance
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels, skills coverage, and training plans are in place
• Ensure products are built in line with quality standards, engineering specifications, and customer requirements
• Take ownership of health and safety across the assembly area
• Ensure compliance with all HSE legislation, risk assessments, and safe systems of work
• Lead continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
• Drive waste reduction, efficiency improvements, and cost-saving activities

• Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a manufacturing or assembly environment
• Strong understanding of production processes and operational KPIs
• Experience leading teams in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
• Good working knowledge of health & safety regulations
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• IOSH or equivalent health & safety qualification
• Experience using ERP or production planning systems
