Our Grantham based Client is looking to appoint a Production Operative on a full time, permanent basis. The Production Operative will be based within the Operations team and will be responsible for organising workflow and ensuring the hands on management of a busy workshop.

The Role
The main areas of responsibility for the Production Operative will include the following:
* Assisting in the manufacture of a range of products from technical drawings and schematics.
* Working as part a small team.
* Hands on duties such as include welding, cutting, drilling, assembly work, cable crimping and some wiring.
* Operating and training other users in the use of production equipment.
* Operating lifting equipment.
* Collecting and delivering materials if required, forklift license would be desirable.
* Occasional property maintenance maybe required.
* Ensuring all work processes are completed to a high standard including keeping the workshop clean to avoid hazards & maintaining the company’s health & safety and quality guidelines.
The Candidate
The successful Production Operative will be able to demonstrate:
* Previous similar experience.
* Proven experience in MIG welding desirable.
* Sling and lifting experience desirable.
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
* Experience using grinders, cutting equipment and general fabrication tools.
* Strong practical and mechanical skills.
* Knowledge of safety rules and precautionary measures (PPE provided).
* Good communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
