About the Team

Future4

Me launched Countywide in February 2019 and brought together the Council’s core offer to adolescents by building on the Youth Offending Team, Youth Hub and Early Help. Focusing on supporting young people aged 14-18, we have a dedicated hub comprising staff with a focus on youth housing, diversion from youth justice, child exploitation, community interventions as well as our Psychology team.

The hub works to support our frontline practitioners, based in the localities, delivering interventions and services to children and families.

About the Role

Joining us you will work in a challenging but supportive environment. You will manage and conduct a range of assessments, contribute to the planning and delivery of interventions across a broad variety of practice. You will be part of a Court Duty Rota as well as holding a caseload of adolescents at risk of further offending, working with them and their families to support them to reduce their risk.

There is scope to be creative in the delivery of your work – and of course we’ll give you all the specialist training and development you need to do a fantastic job. Hybrid working will be a feature of this role and you will be given a nominated contractual work base.

Due to recent changes in immigration law in the UK we are unable to offer skilled worker visa sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the requirements of RQF Level 6.

  • Experience working with complex adolescents and/or experience within the Criminal Justice System
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Ability to undertake written assessments and deliver interventions to children and young people to reduce the risk of reoffending
  • Confidence to challenge and advocate on behalf of children in a wide variety of settings, including the Court Arena
  • Passion and enthusiasm for working with complex adolescents, with an understanding of the importance of diversion from the Criminal Justice System
  • Fluency Duty – ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English
Our Offer
  • Contributory pension
  • Comprehensive benefits package including excellent discount schemes and cycle to work
  • Flexible working policies
  • Career progression opportunities
  • Generous annual leave entitlement plus the option to buy more

Please note that this position may be subject to a criminal record check.
