Advanced Practitioner

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Social Worker to join a dedicated Children & Families Safeguarding Team covering the South Kesteven East District, including Grantham, Stamford, Bourne and surrounding rural areas.

This is a rewarding frontline safeguarding role where you will manage cases from referral through to closure, providing continuity and consistency for children and families throughout their journey.

You will be responsible for:

Completing Child & Family Assessments where safeguarding concerns have been identified
Undertaking Section 47 investigations
Managing Child in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP) plans
Preparing assessments and reports for court proceedings within both public and private law
Supporting children and families through care proceedings where required
Holding cases from referral through to closure, ensuring no change of social worker throughout the process

The team operates a three-week duty rota. 1 week on duty - office-based 5 days per week, responding to new referrals and conducting initial visits. And then 2 weeks off duty - hybrid working with an expectation of 2-3 days in the office. The main office base is in Grantham, with occasional working from Bourne during duty weeks.

To be considered, you must have:

-A recognised Social Work qualification
-Social Work England registration
-A minimum of 3 years post-qualifying experience in a permanent frontline safeguarding role
-Experience completing Section 47 investigations
-Strong assessment, safeguarding and court work experience
-The ability to manage complex caseloads independently
