What you will do:
- Hold and manage a reduced, highly complex caseload.
- Provide practice leadership, coaching, and mentoring to social workers.
- Support high-quality assessments, planning, and intervention for children and families.
- Lead on complex Child Protection, Child in Need, PLO, and court cases.
- Promote strengths-based, relationship-focused, and child‑centred practice.
- Undertake case audits and support quality improvement activities.
- Support practitioners with risk assessment, decision‑making, and permanency planning.
- Contribute to service development and implementation of improvement plans.
- Work effectively with partner agencies to safeguard children and improve outcomes.

- Social Work England registration.
- Qualified Social Worker with significant post‑qualifying experience in children’s social care.
- Strong experience of Child Protection, Child in Need, PLO, and Care Proceedings.
- Excellent assessment, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to coach, support, and challenge practitioners to improve practice.
- Strong understanding of legislation, statutory guidance, and safeguarding procedures.
